About the video

Introducing "Conscious Investing," where you can bring your dollars and values together and flip the notion that you can't have it both ways. Produced for COIN, a financial startup incubated by John Hancock, this video shows how investment portfolios can be aligned with personal values like climate action, gender equality and better health. This video was produced completely in-house at John Hancock's internal creative agency Maiden House.

About the Compilation

These ad units were produced by John Hancock's internal creative agency MaidenHouse for two startups incubated within the company. COIN, which stands for Conscious Investing, was a platform to empower users to align their investments with their values, creating investment buckets for the issues they cared about including "Gender Equality," "Clean Water," "Better Work," and "Climate Action." TWINE was a financial tool enabling couples to set joint savings goals and contribute to them through a linked account. Both products were digital-first applications targeted at the end consumer, part of a new direct-to-consumer approach to marketing for John Hancock, which has historically conducted its business through third-party firms, insurance producers, and networks of financial advisors.
